Addressing

Local Issues

Business

Small business is the heart of the community. For Cabarrus, it is evident in our vibrant downtowns and bustling town centers full of boutiques and restaurants. However most small businesses don’t last even 5 years.

What if we had systems designed to support a business for every milestone? Instruments to ensure they continue to succeed and receive incentives for hiring local candidates? Or universal training centers or improved access to capital?

Let’s work to create stronger alliances within our Cabarrus ecosystem to make real lasting economic impact and increase support for our small business community. This is how we build our workforce and create a Cabarrus our children will choose to stay to be apart of.

Housing

You know the saying, “they ain’t making any more land!” A very real fact. We have a lot of beautiful land here and the ability to design amazing communities that highlight our values. We need to be able to provide options that families will be proud of and that they can afford. Working with zoning and our municipalities to create incentives for small developers to construct more homes. Designing communities that reflect our home town feel. Mixed generation and mixed income to support attainable options for our main workforce. Our police officers, teachers, nurses and everyday working folks are living in hotels. These same people take care of us daily and can’t afford to be a homeowner. Let’s make a way for our college graduates to have a place and our elderly the chance to actually survive on a limited income if they need to down size. It truly is all about community and supporting the growth that is here to stay.
